Grand Uzbekistan Tour — 10 Days / 9 Nights

Discover Uzbekistan on a complete private route through Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, Baysun and Termez. The tour combines Silk Road cities, UNESCO heritage, ancient fortresses, mountain landscapes, bazaars and guided cultural experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1 · Arrival in Tashkent

Arrival in Tashkent. Meet your driver at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner and overnight in Tashkent.

Day 2 · Tashkent to Khiva

Morning flight to Khiva. After arrival, start a guided tour of Itchan Kala, the old walled city of Khiva. Visit Kunya-Ark Citadel, Alauddin Khan Mausoleum, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum and Juma Mosque. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Khiva.

Day 3 · Khiva to Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Bukhara by train or sedan. Arrival, lunch and hotel check-in. Begin a short walking tour of old Bukhara, including the Kalon Ensemble and Miri-Arab Madrasah. Optional dinner with folk dance show on request. Overnight in Bukhara.

Day 4 · Bukhara to Samarkand

Guided half-day tour in the historic center of Bukhara, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Visit Ark Fortress and Bolo-Khovuz Mosque. After lunch and free time for shopping, transfer to Samarkand by express train. Arrival, accommodation and dinner. Overnight in Samarkand.

Day 5 · Samarkand

Full-day sightseeing in Samarkand, one of the great jewels of the Silk Road. Visit Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, Registan Square with Sher-Dor, Tilla-Kari and Ulugh Beg madrasahs, Khazrati Khizr Mosque and Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and shopping at Siyab Bazaar. Carpet workshop or Konigil Paper Mill can be added on request. Overnight in Samarkand.

Day 6 · Samarkand to Baysun

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to Shakhrisabz and visit Ak-Sarai Palace. Continue to Derband Canyon, a dramatic gorge known for rugged cliffs and mountain views. Drive onward to Baysun, check in at the hotel, visit Red Canyon and a local workshop house. Dinner and overnight in Baysun.

Day 7 · Baysun to Termez

Breakfast and transfer to Termez. On the way, visit Iso at-Termizy Mausoleum, Kampyrtepa, Fayaz-Tepa and Karatepa. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy free time. Dinner at a restaurant and overnight in Termez.

Day 8 · Termez to Tashkent

Excursion in Termez with visits to the Archaeological Museum, Kokildor Ota, Sultan Saodat, Kirk-Kiz Fortress and Jarkurgan Minaret. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight to Tashkent. Arrival, hotel accommodation and dinner at a local restaurant. Massage is available on request.

Day 9 · Tashkent

Tashkent city tour. Visit Khasti Imam Complex, Barak-Khan Madrasah and the Museum of Quran. Explore Chorsu Bazaar, enjoy lunch at the Plov Center, walk through Amir Timur Square and Peoples’ Friendship Square, discover the Tashkent subway, Tashkent City and Magic City parks. Dinner and overnight in Tashkent.

Day 10 · Departure from Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and transfer to Tashkent International Airport for your departure flight home. Khayir sogh buling — Uzbek traditional farewell and good wishes.

Booking note: 30% payment is due at least 15 days before departure. Passport details are required for booking bullet train tickets, preferably 60 days in advance during high season.

Transport, Visa and Travel Information

This tour uses comfortable private transport, train connections and domestic flights where needed. Below are the key practical details for planning your Uzbekistan journey.

Train Tickets

Confirmed passport details are required for booking bullet and express train tickets. During high season — March, April, May, August, September and October — it is best to provide details up to 60 days in advance.

Domestic Flights

The route may include domestic flights such as Tashkent to Urgench and Termez to Tashkent, operated by local airlines depending on schedule and availability.

Visa Information

Passport holders of many countries can enter Uzbekistan visa-free, while travelers from other countries may apply for an e-visa. If you plan to extend your stay or travel for non-tourism purposes, visa requirements should be checked before booking.

A passport valid for at least 6 months is usually required. Visa rules may change, so final requirements should be confirmed before departure.

Best Time to Travel

Spring from March to May and autumn from September to November are the most comfortable seasons for traveling in Uzbekistan, with mild weather and pleasant sightseeing conditions.

Summers can be very hot, while winters may be cold, especially outside the main cities.

Important Travel Notes

This itinerary is suitable for travelers with a moderate level of fitness. The tour includes walking tours, historical sites, stairs, bazaars, railway stations and transfers between cities.
